Jesus, the Lord and Savior, the God of our salvation, is alive and well. Sitting on the right side of the Father in Heaven.
He has risen and we therefore serve a risen Savior.
Blessed be the Name of the Lord on High.
Now let’s go celebrate the resurrection of the Lord.
Remember what I said in another post that it’s a historical fact that Jesus was crucified on the cross. However, his resurrection is not a historical fact. In fact, some think that it’s a fairy tale that Jesus arose on Easter Monday.
I’m here to serve notice on the Devil, that he is a liar, because God is not dead.
1 Corinthians 15:4 says “And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
It says according to the scriptures.
Meaning that the resurrection of Jesus Christ was prophesied, and has now come to pass.
Don’t believe me? Fine, but listen to what Jesus told his disciples.
Matt 16:21 “From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.”
Ta Da!!!!!!! Proof from the man himself that his death, burial, and resurrection was to come to pass, according to the scripture. Jesus is the word and as it is written that God cannot lie.
Why is the Resurrection of Jesus Important?
1 Corinthians 15:17 says that “And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins.”
Romans 4:25 says “He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.”
1) Know that upon Christ’s resurrection, he conquered death, hell, and the grave.
2) It shows the immerse power of God, because as our creator and the only one that can take give and away life, this shows that he has the ultimate power to resurrect life after death; and also to show his absolute sovereignty over life and death.
3) Jesus removed the sting of death and the victory of the grave (1 Cor 15:54-55)
4) It’s a testimony to all mankind that we have life in Jesus Christ. John 14:6 he says “I am the way, the truth, and the life: NO man cometh unto the Father but by me. He also said in John 11:25 “I am the resurrection and the Life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.”
Remember in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in me, shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Confucius, Buddha, Gandhi, etc., they cannot compare to a risen Savior, where we have life more abundantly. They talked a good game and were just naturally gifted to talk, but in the end, their followers worship was in vain; because they worshipped a fallible human being.
When Jesus was here with us, he was 100% Man and 100% God. He never lost his godhood and he never lost his place as the 2nd member of the Trinity. He decided to come down from his home in Heaven and become flesh to die for us, thus completing his Father’s plan. Upon his burial and resurrection, he proved that death could not keep him in the grave and that death had no power over him.
Did you celebrate Easter Sunday by going to see the Easter bunny and eating ham and eggs?
Did you celebrate Easter Sunday also known as Resurrection Sunday, by celebrating the resurrection of our Lord?
“He is Lord! He is Lord! He is RISEN from the dead and he is Lord.”
“Every Knee shall bow and every tongue confess”
“That Jesus Christ is Lord.”
Give God the glory and the praise, because he is Risen. And I continue to pray that the gospel of Christ will continue to be shared across all of the nations upon the earth.
