There is a storm coming, Mr. Wayne.
If you have read my earlier posts when I first started this blog, then you know that I am a huge Batman fan (well mostly Christian Bale/Christopher Nolan version). In the last movie The Dark Knight Rises of the Dark Knight Trilogy, the title was spoken verbatim to Bruce Wayne aka Batman from Selina Kyle aka Catwoman. Her threat was right on, if those who have seen the movie remember what happened until the end. For those who have not watched it or just not interested in Batman, Gotham City was taken over by Bane and the League of Shadows (League of Assassins) and a martial law was declared, where people lived in fear, cops that weren’t underground after the martial law occurred were considered the villains, and there were kangaroo courts but ultimately, the city was under a nuclear bomb attack and it took Batman (coming back from being in an underground prison and recovering from a protruded vertebrate) to save the city.
Awesome movie and overall trilogy check it out.
When I first saw The Dark Knight Rises, I was in awe but I also my mind think about the reality of the fact that we’re in the end times and everything associated with it.
Whether people want to believe it or not, Jesus Christ is coming back and he’s coming back with great power and every knee is going to bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. (Romans 14:11, Philippians 2:10). Unlike Batman, who ended up faking his death by letting Gotham believe that he died in the Nuclear explosion; Christ will be alive and well. Death had no power over him, because he conquered death, hell, and the grave, as well as sin.
Gotham had no signs that the threat of their storm was coming or that their city was going to be cut off from the rest of the world into a No Land’s Man type situation. They couldn’t escape, even after Batman came back to the city, they still could not escape (I’m sure they did later) Jesus told us the signs to his coming and believe me when I say (or not, some people don’t believe it), THERE IS A STORM COMING, MR. WAYNE.
What is this storm you speak about?
The storm that is coming is the Great Tribulation aka Jacob’s Trouble aka Literally Hell on Earth.
So, quick key points:
1.) We’re not in the Great Tribulation at this point, because the Church is still here on earth. In fact, if we were in the Great Tribulation, I would not be writing this post. I’ll be chillin in Heaven with Jesus.
2.) President Obama is not the Anti-Christ, despite some reports out there. The way they are dogging him in his position is a key indication that he is not the infamous Anti-Christ. The Anti-Christ will have a charismatic type personality where people will believe and go with everything that he says, because he will promise everything that the world has ever wanted……World Peace.
3.) The Rapture of the Church is not after the Great Tribulation and why would you want to go through it. I told you it’s going to be Hell on Earth and like I said in key point 1, I would not be here typing this.
So, lets get started, because before we can talk about the Storm, we need to get the Church out of the way, which leads me too…………….
The Rapture of the Church
It’s important to know what the Rapture of the Church means, as well as why it’s important that the bride of Christ is out of the way. It gets confused a lot with the Second Coming which is described in Revelation 19:11-16.
According to GotQuestions.org (I like totally dig that site) “The Rapture is an imminent event,(meaning any day now), where Jesus Christ returns to move the church from the earth.” They also go on to say that the rapture is the removal from the earth as an act of deliverance” and it gives 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 as the reference:
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
(This does not mean that it’s his Second Coming), however, it does mean that the church (Those who are born again believers) will meet the Lord in the air. The rapture is a secret event and it’s quick and like a thief in the night. Why is it a secret? It’s because, Jesus is coming to rescue his bride (the church) from what’s to come. Do you really expect the rescue mission to be revealed? In any rescue missions, the goal is to get the victim out of harms way and to safety.
Why are you calling it a rescue mission?
Because it’s not meant for the Church to go through the Great Tribulation; when Christ comes back in the clouds, it is to remove the church only, before God’s wrath takes place.
Where in the bible does it say that?
Well, I’m glad you ask, Sugar Plum. Check it out…..
1 Thessalonians 1:10 – “And to wait for his Son from Heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.”
1 Thessalonians 5:9 – “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.”
I seriously don’t get any one who is a Post-Tribulation Rapture fan. I mean, Good for you if you are. But I have a question? What do you hope to gain by actually going through something that will be so horrific, that is not even meant for the church to go through. I mean, seriously, it’s not going to be the Olympics, where you can compete for a medal or something. It’s not an episode of Power Rangers, where in the 2 parter you’re going to prevail and save the day. Yeah, NO! Lives are going to be at stake and prophecy will fulfill itself. Just check out Revelation, along with Daniel and Ezekiel for further information.
Point is, if you’re in Christ, whether you died physically or you’re raptured up alive, you don’t partake in the Great Tribulation. No, God did not appoint us to the wrath to come.
So it’s important to learn what the rapture is and the second coming of Christ is? Today, we’ve learned what the rapture is. We will learn why the Second Coming is a separate event later on.
Just know today that the rapture is an imminent event. There is no appointed time that we know of when it will happen and there are no signs to indicate when the rapture will be.
Next lesson we will discuss: What the Second Coming of Christ is?
Have fun and enjoy
More importantly, Study!
